The best single of 2004 is It's So Bright by Turbulence on the Mineral riddim.

The Jah Cure, as said, is a great tune, but not close to the best 2004 single imo.

I'm a huge Jah Cure fan from day one, but I rate the Fantan Mojah above "Congoman" on the Maroon riddim.

And I'm still calling I Wayne's "Living In Love" as the best tune of 2004 so far, followed by Jr Gong's "Jamrock". I've sold 12 copies of the latter to local selectors in the last 6 weeks, which might not sound that amazing, but that's huge for a small-time operator like myself...

The Bascom X on the Hard Times is nice, but I personally think the Capleton is the standout cut on the rhythm - compelling lyrics (a pleasant change from quite a bit of his recent work), and a powerful delivery that strikes just the right balance between melody and snarl. "That day will come, when I shall stand and see all those wicked man in the fire getting burn, that day will come, when they shall try to escape and there will be nowhere to run. . . "
The Richie Spice cut is killer, too. In fact, I like most of the cuts, if only because the rhythm is so nice . . .
