I’m hoping this gets the new 10” Joe Gibbs reissue treatment as I’ve been trying to get a copy for a while. Really surprised that a tune like this hasn’t been regularly repressed over the years. A Repress from a good few years back is listed on Discogs for silly money. If anybody knows the team behind the new reissue programme please make this happen.

Agreed - you can find the vocal on CD, and a dub without vocals (Third World) on African Dub Chapter Two, but the original dub (I Stand Accused) is top-notch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfAl66hT01s . With over a thousand people wanting it on Discogs, Winston Edwards (who's distributing the Joe Gibbs 10" reissues) should definitely go for this.

This was repressed a few years ago on 7 inch. I think the Belmont and Joe Gibbs label were both repressed at some point but were hard to find.

The joe Gibbs label was definately repressed around year 2010. Not so sure about the Belmont label

I think deadlydragonsound in the USA were distributing it at the time.

The Gregory was also part of a joe Gibbs 7" box set that I think VP did-Joe Gibbs Spectacular I think was the name with seven sevens in it-for about £30 at the time (but not sure if still available)

Soon everything will be repressed - That is when represses will be over £25. That is when people will look to get the original.

Thanks for the heads up. Sadly way overpriced now on the likes of Discogs and ebay. Regret not picking this up at time of release.

There was a really good quality repress came out few years ago. I think maybe it was Japan repress or part of the Joe Gibbs VP box set repress which were also sold separately. Hence the really good quality. There definitely were maybe 3 presses released around the same time of which one was very good quality.

Also was released on a various artist CD compilation on the German label Wagram without the instrumental version being included.

Bless

If you don't mind CDs, it's readily available on Trojan's Best Of Gregory Isaacs (2017) and VP's Joe Gibbs / Mighty Two Reggae Anthology, both doubles. Or download the individual track here cheaply https://www.junodownload.com/products/t ... _number=17 , choosing WAV for best quality.

There are/have been a number of Gregory compilation CDs. Sticking to doubles, here's three more examples (from lower to higher price):

The Essential (Metro)
Cool Ruler - The Definitive Collection (Trojan)
The Ruler (VP Reggae Anthology; also incl. a DVD)

Which LPs have you got? That might give a pointer towards what you're after.
