Digital Murdah! Lord have mercy ... new mixtape to d/l

Postby funkus the boogieman » Fri May 04, 2007 1:37 pm

I’ve been submerged deep in uk steppas and dubstep the last couple of months so I came up for air and did this 80s/90s digital roots mix ... kind of a part 2 to an old mix I did some years ago, a heap of my favourite selections for playing out on the sound plus a few things I’ve picked up more recently. 40meg file on the link below. Here’s the tracklist ...

“Hasan Sabah Commits Murdah in the Dance”:

Intro
Youthman Struggling – Chuck Turner
Dollar A Run – Danny Coxson
Yes We Come Again – Pad Anthony
Bongo Nyahbinghi (version) – Andrew Bees
Gang War – Cocoa Tea / Cutty Ranks
Deh Pan Wi Guard – Admiral Tibet
No Heathen (version) – Anthony Red Rose
Roughneck Sound – Ed Robinson
Rock Them One By One – Eccleton Jarret
Ragamuffin Sound (version) – Shakka Shamba
Them Wounded – Tristan Palma
Terminator - Taxman
President Botha – Danny Coxson
Murder – Sugar Minott
Bad Boys – Burning Soul
Move Up – Cutty Ranks
Don’t Call Me Baldhead (version) – Gregory Isaacs
Rude Boy – Tony Rebel / Bunny Rugs / Gregory Isaacs
Wise Man (version) – Sandeeno
Militant – Tony Rebel

Yeah just vinyl, couple of takes though cos I decided to change the middle bit after I'd recorded it so redid it and stuck them together.

Indeed ... it's sort of a sequel to a mix I did some years ago which I called "Hasan Sabah Captures the Towers of Dub".

Anyone else who's interested, you can now stream it more easily via our site:

There's some other mixes/sessions up there, more to be added in the next month.

Cheers.
