I had planned to go to Shashamane while in Ethiopia, but when there I heard so many stories about what a shithole it is (the town, not the Rasta community), from both travellers and locals alike, who all told of rude, unfriendly people, rampant muggings and theft, and staying indoors after dark, so in the end we decided not to bother. I know you can hear the same kind of stuff about places in the UK, which I wouldn't think twice about going to or living in, but still, I think the time was better spent checking out Harar, where the people had a reputation for friendliness, which they lived up to.

Yes I, overstood.

I have been invited by a sound in Sinegal to come of there and play in April of this year.

I played with them in New York a few months back, and we were mutually impressed with the array of tunes each others had. The sound system is called "Jah Disciples" So kinda looking forward to travelling to motherland to do Jah muzikal works.

Just wondering how many other roots sound have traveled to Afrika to do dances also. Am intersted to hare of their vibes there.

So far , and by the tapes i have heard of Jah Disciples, they have some serious tunes. Am intersted to check their sound system

Respeks.

Yes humble, Jah Youth "the roots ambassador" was something of a pioneer in bringing soundsystem to Africa. Early as 1988.
