Anyone else had this problem?

Everytime I try to open IE6 on XP SP1 I get a message saying an error has been encountered and the program has to close.

Lucky I use Mozilla as well otherwise would've had no web access at all.

Can't find any fixes on the web and Microsoft won't help unless I pay for a support contract.

Hi yms,

Not had this problem, cant find fix either...

imho youre better off without IE ... try firefox!

but if you really want to try to fix it you *could* try xp-lite http://www.litepc.com/xplite.html they have a free version that strips IE out of XP by the balls...

Should just be a case of reinstalling,,, read the instructions before use eh

Good luck

One good thing about Hulk, after he hit you feel no pain.

fixed it!

not with a hammer but by disabling 3rd party extensions.

looks like my pop up blocker caused it.
