He recorded an album called "Dread must be fed" in the beginning of the 80's. Do somebody know more about him?

Greetings -

Delroy Melody is alive & well - he is an original member of The School Boys, along w/ Jacob Miller & Lawrence Ware, when they were all teenagers in the late 60's; they performed the original version of Love is a Message (originally titled Guilty of Love) as well as a few other tunes, for Bunny Lee, that were released on Pama (I think) in the UK......Delroy is also the one who 1st brought Jacob Miller to Studio 1.......

He is spending time now between NYC and his home/farm in St. Elizabeth (JA), and has been singing a bit w/ my group Top Shotta Band featuring Screechy Dan, where we have been doing a few of his classic tunes.....we are all now working on a brand new, original ska LP together, where Delroy and Screechy will be singing in harmony, a la The Blues Busters....we have a good chunk of the material written now, and are going to work out a few more tunes before we go into the studio and begin recording.....

Some videos of the band are here -

One love,
