Recent Natty Dread magazines

Postby Kas » Wed Dec 01, 2004 6:24 pm

This goes mostly to the french members of the community:

I subscribed to the french Natty Dread magazine a while ago, and had it sent to me for about a year, and I intend to renew my subscription.
However, I have missed the issues 27 and 28 in the meantime.

Info about the contents of those issues is hard to come by in the internet.
So: does any of you own those issues and could you inform me about their contents.
Are they good enough to order along with the subscription?

Oh, and greetings you all, another one from Helsinki, Finland signing in.

have`nt seen an issue 28, so it might not be out as yet, last issues did reach a little late (well here in uk anyway !).... issue 27 (oct / nov) has main articles on the Gladiators (inc discography), Capleton, I Wayne, Lopez Walker, 5th Element Records and Iration Steppa...as usual full compliment of good pics, single / album reviews etc and the free cd.... so still worth picking up !

Thanks very much, Russ.
The issue 27 seems like a sound investment then, and I wouldn't imagine they have let the quality drop - the issue 28 apparently has just come out in France.
And I second everything you wrote about the magazine on your site.
the writing is just as good as the photography. They have also published lengthy and very enilghtening articles by e.g. David Hendley and - Steve Barrow.
I've got all the issues from 19 to 26, and there isn't a dud among them.
The editors really know their stuff.

Sorry about the double entry.
I lost the connection for a minute and did not check if my reply had made it to the board or not.
I'm still learning.

even this morning, it was not out...yet.
I should subscribe as they did their proof! For sure, natty dread is a great timeless magazine!
As a subscriber, when do you receive it? (around 25th?)

I received the issues at about the 28th, here in Finland.

The magazine still does not have an internet site, but you can send them an e-mail and ask about the details such as payments, prizes etc.:

dreadzine@free.fr

Each issue also contains a subscription form, so if you get hold of a copy, you'll find more information there - the content and availability of back issues etc.
