Downbeat Special updated and expanded

Postby Downbeat Special » Wed Jan 05, 2005 8:48 pm

Over the Christmas holiday I have overhauled and expanded the Downbeat Special website - including news and reviews of the latest (and forthcoming) releases from Soul Jazz and Heartbeat, plus the facility to buy the latest vinyl reissues from Studio One online.

We are lucky to have a great Studio 1 site like this.

Now that it has been updated with extra features it's more vital than ever before.

Thanks Rob for the great work!

Yes, thanks Rob, the site is great and the Never Grow Old book which arrived just before Xmas has been of great help already.

I got my first copy of Never Grow Old waaaaay back in the late 80s and have been using it ever since. An essential reference for Studio 1 obsessives!

Very interesting site !!

I'll go to London on Mid-February for a big concert (with Freddie McGregor, Ken Boothe, Marcia Griffiths & Leroy Smart) and I would like to know if your 2 Studio One books are available in any record shop in London ?

Thanks :)

zonard, as far as I know the books are only available from Rob via his website, also what is this gig in London you're coming to, do you know which venue it's at?

Also Rob Downbeat, is Never Grow Old currently available? If so, I'll send you a cheque asap!!
