lol.. sorry ekki

I have been workin on this for about a year,, i AM blind!!!

But seriously,, and this is just a suggestion,, but have you calibrated your monitor???,, yes its yellow,,but it shouldnt be so bright as to hurt!!

There are lots of sites on the internet that will help you with this...

However, as mentioned on a previous post, we have some exciting plans int he pipeline that should help alleiviate this problem for those of you who find it uncomfortable!

Hope this helps
Kind regards

Steve, when the things you have in pipeline are realized, can you somehow adjust the colour scheme of the board so, that the main things (posters' identities & messages themselves) are not left into the shadow of the attention-grabbing colours of the buttons and stuff?

I don't think calibrating Ekki's monitor will help
anyone remember computing in 80's, before pc came about ?
dumb terminals on mainframes, horrible black screens with orange or green text ?
remember the associated helth problems that came with them, headaches, eye strain, burning out the rods in your eyes so that anything white you looked at was pink ?
no, well spend abit of time here, its exactly the same

Sunglasses After Dark

Postby Ekki » Thu Dec 02, 2004 12:03 am

Giab is spot on! My monitors are both o.k. (yes, I watch this board at work AND at home).
And after three days it still hurts my eyes.
The colour scheme isn't reader friendly...how many books do you know that are printed white on black
I use a few of these phpBB message boards and you really get used to it.
A lot of the options are gimmicks for my taste, but things like the PM's are VERY useful.
But none of the boards I know, has these blinding colours. 8)
And all have REAL seperated posts and an option to read the message board alone and switch off the links on the left side. That's the 3 major points to make this board comfortable. I'm 46 now and don't wanna get blind because of my internet abuse.

I'm with Ekki on this, I don't like the colour much at all. I'm not knocking Steves hard work but white on black just isn't good.

The other problem is the line between posts. It's not actually missing, it's there...only it's black so you can't see it!

Steve did a great job on the site, but I used to live on BAF-board for more than 3 years now... I'm feeling free to criticise some things.
Thanks for the support Tim.

Just for the positive things:
Blood & Fire is back for 3 days now (may be 80 hours)
- there are now 415 registered members
- 120 topics on the discussion board
