Well i'm going to have to check out Honeycomb - Frank has a certain outloook on life that always brings a wry smile when you listen to the lyrics.

So called "World" music has bored me to tears more often than not. Especially the kind featuring plaintive voices backed with acoustic instruments in weird rhythm patterns that I cant relate to. Just like most Jazz. BOOOOOOOOOOORing.

My favorite non reggae styles are Bob Dylan, Fela, King Sunny Ade, Franco, Rochereau, Kassav, early 80's boogie funk, some hip hop.

I believe I did Richard but that was a while ago - I'll have to check it out again now that everything is at my finger tips with the world of Rdio! What made you ask? That's an old thread and when I saw Grumpy's name I thought woah! Blast from the past.

Recently picked up a superb LP copy of Sunny Ade's Juju Music for $5 which is nice.

Was in Kelowna ona sales trip last week and stumbled across Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros live double album at a great price (record store day release) haven't listened to it yet.

It's fun to bump occasionally!

And, embarrassingly, after ten years I only just noticed the 'View your posts' heading on the left, so I spent a while on Friday reading through and seeing what rubbish I've posted over the years...

Never get bored of Budos Band. Looking forward to their forthcoming album, which seems to be coming on a snail's back.

Ha ha, I don't think I'd have the courage to review my posts! By the way, that live album from Strummer/Mescaleros is sensational. Can't have too many versions of White Man In Hammersmith Palais obviously, but there's even a version of White Riot. I guess Mick Jones joined him on stage for some of the numbers.
