Er... as does Eric Morris mention the days of the week in his cut of "Solomon Gundie", I meant! G-man was too fast for me!

>Jackie Pablo, did you mean to say "Christine" instead of "Pauline" for that Saturday Night tune on Gregory's "Rock On" Rythm? Killer track indeed!

From memory a reviewer credited Pauline as the singer but it could well be Christine. Can you confirm this should be Christine (and / or her second name)? Do you know the title of her version? The only label info I have is 'Version' and it's on the back of Gregory's 7" on Observer (and very crackly it is too!)

More days:

One Of These Fine Days - Big Youth
Better Days - Carlton & The Shoes
Let My Days Be Long - The Abyssinians
(The) Last Days - The Abyssinians
In Those Days - Burning Spear
School Days - Burning Spear
Slavery Days - Burning Spear
Rainy Days - Luciano
Better Days - Mikey Spice

Yes Jackie, it's definitely Christine according to the label on the Observer 7". There is not a last name given though. I also saw the tune on a Niney compilation cd called, appropriately enough, "Rock On". Respect.

forgot to mention that there is no name given to the version of that Christine track, Saturday Night; it just says version with Lotion. Respect.
Anyone know who or what Lotion they are referring to?

The first time I noticed 'Lotion' was on the back of Gregory's 'Dealing' and it was on the label instead of Version

The B side of 'You Too Short Temper' - Michael Rose & Grammys also had Lotion were you would expect Version.

It must be something Niney had stamped on a series of 7" pressings at one time (revive and brand new).

The hooter wakes me up to face the day again
I wish that it would bloody go away again
Monday's bad and Tuesday's worse
Wednesday, Thursday, just a curse
But Friday's payday, fill the purse, and pray again
