Grumps. I don't have access to the old board but every once and a while I would copy bits to a word file…..sort of a wish list of BAFer favorites. Thanks everyone for your suggestions, I've benefited greatly from these suggestions. Unfortunately, my hard drive crashed in August and I lost most of my B&F archive.

Like the rest of you, I'm looking forward to the official B&F archive.

Thanks to some very good prices at EB’s, it was a good year to catch up on the classics.

Here are some of my favorites:

Matador’s Arena vol 1-3 (Ja Gold)
Matador Productions 1968-72 (Heartbeat)
From Chariot’s Vault vol 1-2
Top Ska - Gaz
Clancy Eccles Reggae Review
Birth of Trojan – Duke Reid Rocksteady 1967
Sir Lee’s Rock Steady Party at Buckingham Palace (and the other vols)
Best of Alton Ellis
Dennis Brown – Open the Gate (thanks Fish for this recommendation)
20th Century DEBwise (had this on last night and I’m actually beginning to really like it)
Spear Burning – Burning Spear
Wailing Souls at Channel One
Decibel - Dennis Bovell (not as good as Iwah dub)
Mento Madness (other mento CD recommendations?)
Blazing horns - Tommy McCook
Children of Jah – The Chantells and Friends (number one for 2004)
We are getting bad – The Sound of Phase One (a close second)
Raw Roots Vol 1 (Jet Set) (excellent - again a Fish recommendation)
Screechie and Kojak (Silver Kamel)

Other non-reggae getting a lot of play this year:
Orchestra Baobab – Specialist in all styles (ain’t it the truth)
Way to Blue – Nick Drake (been meaning to get some Drake for years)
Smile – Brian Wilson
Acoustic – John Lennon
