Unknown Reggae Organ song?

Postby ulua-bob » Fri Dec 17, 2004 3:12 am

I am trying to figure out a song I have heard a number of times on the French reggae station Planet Reggae, and what album it is on. It is a duo with a man and woman singing. It has a late sixties, early seventies feel to it, with a strange fuzzy-sounding Hammond organ(?) sound/solo that almost sounds like an old electric buzzer. Some of the lyrics go something like. . .

Holy, holy fishy(?) holy fishy
Wind, wind your body line

the organ/buzzer sound seems to edit out what might have been a line too "slack" for its time with the lyrics of that line going . . .
"hold your (something) in the night, and my [buzzer/organ sound] will rise to the sky"

It has a rocksteady beat essentially, but the organ stuff gives a really unique sound. The "holy fishy" part is the most repeated line. Anyone know anything about it??

Peace

Fishy Fishy, Prince Buster, early 70's. Mature adults only version of Neil Diamond's Holly Holy.
