Congos reform with original lineup!

Postby Natty Rajah » Wed Dec 15, 2004 3:36 pm

Saw an article in Mojo magazine today saying that Ashanti Roy is finally rejoining the Congos, bringing back the original lineup from "Heart Of" and "Congo Ashanti", and that they are working on another album and possibly doing a live tour...

Anyone else heard anything/got any links?

ah it's out then.. cedric mentioned a mojo piece.

the lp cedric has done in jamaica doesn't feature roy, it's brilliant though and will be well recieved.

the duo are meant to tour next year and start more recordings together but as yet this hasn't started..

Good news, I guess this means they have settled their legal dispute over songwriting credits for Don't Blame It On I.

Watty was in the photo in the Mojo article... so i'm presuming that (as on "Heart Of") it's Cedric, Watty and Roy...
