knew it was a version of Real Rock, but didn't know owt else-my version sounds too overcompressed to be Channel One (every time the bass kicks in the level of everything else drops ) but I guess someone f***ed around with it for rerelease. I guess its the Roots Radics playing then?

That must be a re-issue issue. My oiginal 10" Silver Camel plays OK, hard hitting kicks without levels dropping. Don't know about the band, but I'd guess it's Fullwood on bass and Max Asher on drums.

I'm off to the pub to drown my sorrows about the quality of records I buy; I'm too young to have bought them first time around and too skint to pick up good quality originals on all but lucky occasions

at least the version on the cd of the same name is in stereo (seemingly, maybe its mono) instead of the 2-track version i have elsewhere with all the music in one channel and the voice in the other. that stinks. i did notice the cd sounded pretty compressed but thats not surprising these days.

I saw a copy of this on a blue label (forget name, but not Silver Kamel) 7" the other day. It looked like a reissue or a more recent cut. Anyone know which?
I once bought the original by mail order but it never arrived, the thieving baskets.
