Yeah, Eek-A-Mouse is definitely an artist I can't listen to now, with the exception of very few tunes, like the ones he did under his real name in the 70s, and "Tell Them" on the Black & White label.
Most of his output I feel is too gimmicky.
But he is immensly popular, and I think his music is a very good way into reggae.
Many people who don't really listen to reggae still like Eek-A-Mouse when they hear him.
