Glen Adams 'A Beat For You' is one of the 10 best vinyl releases this week (14th August) at the mighty The Vinyl Factory.
So happy to have two releases in The Vinyl Factory charts this summer (The first one is Shadow 'D'Hardest'). Stay tuned for the next releases to come from Glen Adams vaults.

Congrats. Certainly deserves it. First time I heard it I was completely knocked flat by the vibe. I realised quite quick there wouldn't be a chance of me getting a copy so the reissue is most welcome.

Leroy “Mabrak” Mattis's first drum was a plastic butter container. “My mother wouldn't buy me a drum because back then the situation in Jamaica was very tense...In 1960 Jamaica was still an English colony, and the drum is a roots instrument”. Mabrak grew up with the legendary Tommy McCook (he was living living two doors down) and The Skatalites, Ossie Scott and Count Ossie. So he was well schooled in first class rootical and cultural arrangements. They play the sounds of Bournemouth Gardens, Wareika Hills and Red Hills Road...The rest of the story is coming soon...

It's all about heavy roots rock reggae, a thing called "Roots Man Skank", the anthem of True Persuaders, the obscure reggae group that never released any album (not yet !!! we are working on it for 2018). The rhythm track was recorded by the great Sylvan Morris at Harry J and then it was voiced at King Tubby's studio with young Scientist as studio engineer in 1981.

Big up ! thanks ;)

True Persuaders 'Roots Man Skank' available now... The rhythm track was recorded at Harry J studio with our friend Sylvan Morris and the vocal was recorded at King Tubbys studio with young Scientist as engineer. According to True Persuaders group, only a few copies were pressed in 1981 and most of them were quite off centre. To help promotion back in the days, the group sold a few dubplates cuts to local Sound System, one of them was for the famous 12 Tribes Of Israel Sound System. 'Roots Man Skank' is a real roots rock reggae gem that the mighty Jah Shaka Official played many times in his sessions. We are very honored to work on a such tune and we hope you will enjoy like we do when we play dis ya one !

RMS sourced from master tape or vinyl ?
No problem with either, just curious...
