BRING IT ON HOME - SONNY BOY WILLIAMSON
Baby, baby,
I'm gonna bring it on home to you
I done bought my ticket, I got my load
Conductor done hollered, "All, aboard"
Take my seat and ride way back,
and watch this train move down the track
Baby, baby,
I'm gonna bring it on home to you
I think about the good times I once have had
Soul got happy now, my heart got glad
I think about the way you love me too
You can bet your life, I'm comin home to you
I'm goin home,
I'm gonna bring it on home, now
I'm gonna bring it on home, now
I'm gonna bring it on home, now
Gonna bring it on home,
bring it on home to you
by Willie Dixon

CAPTAIN BEEFHEART - I Wanna Find A Woman That'll Hold My Big Toe Until I Have To Go
I wanna find me a woman who'll hold my big toe till I have to go
I wanna find a blue swirl plastic ocarina
About five miles long
And play with them sweet potatoes all night long
'cause them yams have all them eyes that yawn
'yearn down yonder below the ground
'n their golden hair is ah dirty brown
I wanna find me a woman that'll hold my big toe till I go
I wanna hold me a woman that'll find my big toe
Till I have to go
'n sow my last sweet potato.

... and remember, keep on keeping on...
love

Yes eph, I've thought that aswell, but it's definately listed as JC... I've forgot to ask BMD about his thoughts on that one.........

Thanks for playing the Blind Willie McTell and White Stripes tunes back to back Rob, it was great to hear them like that. Is the WS tune available anywhere or did you tape it off the radio?

Also I'll keep an eye out for the new issue of Uncut as I like comparing the old with the updated versions of tunes, if this is what it is....although the 'Delia' tune reminded me more of Johnny Cash's tune 'Delia's Gone' from a few years ago....

Cheers

'Bring It On Home' is one of the greatest records of all time... although Sonny Boy's 'Help Me' is even better...

excellent list, rob, have you heard the deluxe edition bonus Inner City Blues? the two vocals are separated in each their own speaker and it's just **** fantastic - lots of bob dylan hints but no bob dylan?

... like a bird that flew, tangled up in blue

Evenin' all
Ian, the W Stripes was taped off the radio.
Dr, no haven't heard the album you mention - did you mean a deluxe 'What's Going On'? Would have been some Dylan, but all cds currently in storage for a little while...
