Love them. What drivers and crossover did you use?

I must admit I don't know much about coaxial's. How do they differ from a full range driver?

Looks nice.I would like to build a set like that for home listening too.I started collecting informations about boxes and preamps a couple of times but always got lost in the vast sea of differing informations.Does yours sound good? Can you direct me to the projects you used for your boxes and give some detail about preamp, amps etc.
Thanks and enjoy your set!

To put it simply, there's no such thing as a full range driver, that's why we need more than one...

A coaxial just combines two drivers in one, in this case a 15" & a 2" compression driver with a passive crossover. And with the right cabinet design you can achieve a great full-range speaker box. A good co-axial can take some of the pain (and some expense) out of matching two separate drivers... the more drivers, the more complex, and expensive the build...

The theory and genesis behind my design is the Tannoy GRF-R boxes of the 60's, but updated for a modern driver.

It sounds great, especially through my Jo Red pre-amp.

ok, sorry... It's my own design. The genesis behind it is the Tannoy GRF-R boxes of the 60's, but updated for a modern driver. It may look similar to a GRF-R, but quite different inside...

All cuts and angles done on a big adjustable saw table, the angle at the bottom of that piece is 76°
