ah,OK. Nothing against DR, i reckon i must do the job. Never had to rely on him for my musical education, that must explain my initial question. He may be all the rage for younger people, i suppose. Just the same for Shaka, really.
Give me the Saxon any time (never had the pleasure to see Coxone Int'l).

Lankou: Agree entirely about Saxon. I once saw them playing opposite Coxsone in Brixton, and both were great - though the younger crowd who follow Shaka might not agree. You probably know about it already, but just in case you don't there was a wonderful 2-CD set released in 2000 of Sir Coxone Outernational playing the Jubilee Hall, Brixton. Among the performers performing live are are Supercat, Frankie Paul, Nitty Gritty and Nicodemus, all on top form. A shame more sound system recordings of this quality haven't been officially released.
