I would be quite curious about this one - way back in the days of the old message board, a certain DEB historian would time to time make reference to his white label pre-release dub version of Aswad's original, self titled album on Island. This would have been much in the same context as the Rico Wareika dub white label that eventually made the rounds.

Anyone ever heard or seen this Aswad S/T in Dub?

RB,

I've got a labelled copy of Jah Pops, 72 Different Nations. Sadly, it's got a dub to a different yabby rhythm on the b side.

Sounds daft but I have never been able to find "Storm" by Gregory Isaacs on a single.
One that's been debated before is Junior Delgado - Up Park Camp. It's on the intro to I Roy's Point Blank on the Third World label: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3vFgCKbfaZg Does the Junior Delgado vocal exist?

On the other hand, a couple of tunes I have discovered which I never new existed are early cuts of "What is Man" and "Wreck Up My Life".

It's not a 12", as writen above, it's a 7"; mislabled on my copy. I thought it was rising son.

Yo Vinnie, regarding the Party tune by Johnny Clarke. It couldn't be the one on Yard Style LP? Seems almost too easy but, yea...

Vinnie wrote:been looking for some tunes aswell but since i have never seen them around i wonder if they do exist:

dennis brown - the lord is my shephard 7" exterminator (completely different riddim than the 12" greensleeves)
Ajah - sun , air & trees
ras imru - shy one 7" ('96)
johnny clarke - stop them jah 12" hawkeye (different cut than the 12" on blackjoy)
yami bolo - jah made them all/big yard dub 7" live&learn '86 (same cut as album so not the techniques cut)
bim sherman - its just a dream 12 channel one (only saw the 7" re)
yabby you - jah over I 7" vivian jackson (ive heard a dub of this)
johnny clarke - party time (lyrics go something like "we are going to a paaaarty" only heard shaka run this)
