Really enjoyed a lot of the Studio One represses (not many of those pressed in JA!). The Sugar & Spice comp is a top-class example (presentation, liner notes, pressing...).
Usually not a massive fan of digikiller but big props to them for releasing those Invaders 7".
Iroko has really done some top stuff, like Negro.
Bristol Archives and related labels have done some solid things too, though only 9 tunes for an LP is a little short (i know it makes the record sound more dynamic, but...).
On the whole, there is a good number of represses that leave me puzzled: totally overated stuff that could be found in bargain bins some 20 years ago. i mean early digital things, of course!

Now wouldnt that be something to have a B&F style reissue of Well Pleased and Satisfied's best album + a few singles to make it a 75 minute CD... Ive always liked that group.

Thanks will check it out. I would buy everything that digikiller has released if it was available as mp3, but I'm not filling my house up with hundreds of 7" they are missing out on part of the market keeping it in physical formats

@ Congo Bunny
i think i said earlier in the thread...all the wackie's stuff is available on digital via all the major digital outlets (itunes, etc.)
check out www.wackies.de for links.

having the rest of our catalog digitally available is a complicated issue, but we would love to do it and are attempting to sort it out. a lot of different factors at play.
