I actually have to repeat my words to people several times due to my heavy accent. I refuse to speak proper English :)

Underated, I'm from London but I've lived in Canada for 28 years and people still have trouble with my accent! If you're a Geordie it won't be a surprise, unintelligible :)
My sister moved to Scotland and a couple of my nieces and nephews are quite hard to understand as they have thick Hebridean accents and they mumble a bit - but their family seems to understand them as well.
