i'm new to the forum and, first of all, i would like to send a warm "ciao" (i'm italian) to all of you (and thanks to the moderator who kindly gave me access to this wonderful place).
i have been reading many of the posts and followed several of the topics. i'm really impressed by the knowledge of all you guys and feel extremely humbled by it. i feel i have not much to offer myself, maybe just my enthusiasm for jamaican music, which is huge!!!
talking of knowledge, i would really love to ask you for your help.
i'm a big fan of unconventional and experimental reggae tunes. i love when the sounds get kind of twisted and almost "noisy"...
i don't know if the following are good examples, but these are songs i particularly like and which, somewhat, i consider as part of the "experimental" category:
Tappa Zukie - Simpleton Badness
Ranking Devon - Death Ballarena
Horace Andy - Mr Bassie (o.k., i know it's a huge standard, but it's still an unusual song, isn't it?)
Lee Perry & Leo Graham - Pampas Judas
Lloyd Robinson - It Deep
i hope you won't find this a very silly request, but i would really appreciate to get some suggestions from you guys!
the most experimental, the best!
oh, and the heaviest the basses, the best also!!!
thanks in advance to you all.
so happy to be here!
