Mark Stewart is pretty much the most extreme end of On.U, I think overdrive is the word. lol

Check this out:
http://www.mixcloud.com/dubmodule/roots ... reel-show/

Rescued and restored archive mastertapes from On.U Sound, focussing mainly on earlier reggae/dub work by Creation Rebel, Singers & Players, Prince Far I and outtakes from Time Boom X De Devil Dead. Patrick has put a lot of work into saving these pieces of On.U history which were in a bad way and would probably have been thrown away by Adrian. Nice work :)

Lovers tune kicking in at around 20 minutes on the mix cloud set must let loose on vinyl! Love it. Who is in vocalist on that one?

The tune that goes "you've got to come on back"?

That was released very early '80s - a 12" on the Dub Syndicate label. 'Got To Come Back' credited to Izard/Undivided Roots - singer was Keith "Lizard" Logan, with Jah Woosh toasting. It was the B side - A side is 'Bam By Aur'

Barry thanks for that...I had never seen that 12" and just assumed from the show that it was never released.

I immensely enjoyed this mix - could somebody post a full track list? I've been able to identify a few tracks myself but with others, I'm lost

thanks

oops, I just noticed - shouldn't there be a Creation Rebel / Jah Woosh song, something like "Practice what Jah preach"?

That's the Izard/Undivided Roots "Got To Come Back" track. On the show Patrick names it as an unreleased Creation Rebel tune, as he found it on the tape reel, but it was released as a 12", credited as above. Jah Woosh is there too, of course, though not credited on the 12". Izard is Keith 'Lizard' Logan, from Creation Rebel

The Dub Syndicate "Research and Development" album of remixes by UK Dub guys (including Russ D and Dougie, iirc) is great.

Sherwood's "Echo Dek" album where he dubs up Primal Scream is also great.

I have recorded the entire set and then edited it (cut out the chatter between songs) - could upload the result, if wanted
