I loved that album when it came out and most of it still sounds fresh to me. I have been a big On.U Sound fan for years. Sherwood has always pushed the envelope and worked with top notch musicians, often bringing out the best in them. He has also always upset the purists because he is an adventurer in sound. It's not all great, but when it is, there's nothing like it. He has worked with lots of people over the years and his work has many flavours. Watch out for Indigenous Resistance releases, he has featured on several of those recently.
Favourites? My fave On.U changes all the time. Here are some I would like to hear right now:
Harry Beckett - The Modern Sound Of Harry Beckett
Lee Scratch Perry - The Dubsetter
Unknown Cases - Masimbabele Remixes
Pay It All Back 2 & 3
African Head Charge - Songs Of Praise
Dub Syndicate - Classic Selections
Little Axe - If You Want Loyalty, Buy A Dog
pretty sure these are all available one way or another.
