Wondering whether it was produced by Courtney Cole of Roof International. At least, there was one version of that tune (Life Is Like a Piano) on the Roof album, or was it on a Roof comp?
A little hazy memory, though, as that version might not be the same as the one on that blank 7".

Not 100% sure but think it may have been Kariang Productions as I first heard this on his posthumous album release on Atlantic records called ' The Definitive Collection' which was predominantly Kariang productions and included lots of original rhythms.

I was wrong, though it was the Ocho Rios connection:
The first version of that tune was released by none other than Barry O'Hare, of X-Rated label.

Yes, there are two versions of this song. The blank 7" seems to be the first, produced by Callo Collins. The second one (i believe, as it sounds more polished), is the one produced by Barry O'Hare, retitled - Life Is Like a Piano. Originally released on the Many Moods of Love Vol. 1(Runn/X-Rated). As Delroy Collins helped out quite a few of soon-to-be bigger names of the 90's roots revivalists to launch their careers, that's another reason why i'd tend to think that the blank 7" was the first version.
