I believe its Joe Gibbs (and not my Uncle Joe who lives in Tipton)

I've got the 12 inch of this with Prince Fari and the dub on a dubplate.

Anybody know if the dub was ever released? I think the 45 came out with a different track on the otherside (but i could be wrong)

I played the Virgin Frontline 12" the other day, it has Gregory's "Soon Forward" on the other side.

Is it really about Joe Gibbs? First time I hear. Will have to play the song and check the lyrics closely when I have the time.

JP: African Museum started in -71 as a joint effort between Gregory »Jah Tooth« Isaax and Errol Dunkley.

I think the Gregory isaacs front line LP Crucial Cuts contains the 12" version and the dub can be found on something...possibly slum in dub LP.

There's also a nice dub on the Lone Ark - "Oil & Water In Dub" album, titled Mighty Dub......

yep the dub is on slum in dub...There's definitely another topic at hand apart from joe gibbs as you can hear in the verse that starts "your reform institution..." .. i always thought america might be the topic - the US was definitely bucking JA's toe (causing them problems) politically at the time! uncle joe instead of uncle sam might be a sly dig at gibbs?

The dub is called reform institution. I thought it might refer to a prison 'system' especially given Gregory's problems with the law.
