those two things go hand in hand.......if you've got the weather you are halfway there....

over here mans are burning down houses with hydro lights in their loft space.......either that or the coppers are using heat detecting cameras and putting people away for a long time....

you do know that "Festus" was the name of a character on the TV program Gunsmoke, he was sort of the town drunk at first but then evolved into the wacky sidekick sort of guy. kinda looked in two ways at once ala marty Feldman, like maybe he had a glass eye, and was pretty odd looking in a character actor sort of way.

Heard most of it and enjoyed the show a lot. Nice vibes and some big tunes - especially enjoyed the unreleased D Brown sings Gregory section. Big ups all round.

Father Festus Coxsone founded the Sir Coxsone sound with Lloydie in 1966. This classic picture from the early 1980s shows Festus doing what he does with fellow selector Blacker Dread behind (on left with spliff) and the great DJ Bikey Dread with the mic

Mr Swingeasy and I took turns to interview Festus before the show for a Sir Coxsone Special that is in the making!

The above selections are Festus' except for the first one. I introduced him and handed over. The show flew for all of us! Big thanks to Festus for joining us. It was an honour and a pleasure.

After the show we ate chicken and rice and then went out to see friends at The Heritage in Cricklewood.

At Ras Digby's session at The Heritage Festus met up with many old friends including Afro, 1970s selector from the Roaring Twenties club

I've been meeting the stars this month! (Thanks to Terence Lo for these photos)

nuff respects and great job just one thing: I am trying to download the session and it insists on me downloading some bs codec stuff and when I try it my computer screams WARNING WARNING WARNING at me. what the hell is that all about? do you have a download available where I don't have to put up with this please? I don't understand why a simple MP3 download requires all this potential malware or spyware. thanks!

Sure. Well we were basically holding hands waiting for the photographer to get his thing together so was an awkward moment unless the photo could've been taken right away.

Nice one Informer and Dave. JB I just checked some of the links such as Bayfiles and can't see a problem. So sorry you had difficulties- who do you use to upload these days?
