St Pauls Carnival Tune ID - Negus Melody

Postby Living Bate » Sun Jul 07, 2013 9:53 am

I was at St Pauls Carnival yesterday and Negus Melody played a tune - I think it was a UK tune, but I might be wrong....

and all I can remember is the chorus......a fairly high pitched voice singing

'the people they are suffering..........suffering'

I know its not a lot to go on, but any ideas anyone?

sorry not to help with the original ID, but ive got a Negus Melody ID from Saturday request too please: had the lyrics "stand firm" and "dont let them use you"
If memory serves me it was digital era production but it was played early in the day and my memory is pretty hazy now

its not Teddy Miller or Denroy Morgan or Pressure or Rico Rodriguez or Peter Tosh or Vibronics Meets Trulaikes , who've all done tracks called Stand Firm

Thank you Skunkride, i think you hit the target! I havent heard the whole thing as the clip is short but that sounds like its it - love a good Twinkle Bros cut.
Hope you're keeping well 8)
