Glancing through my old copies of Boomshackalacka the other day I wondered whatever happened to Pete Hamill, an excellent writer who seemed very in touch with with the UK dancehall scene of the time. Did he go on to write for any other fanzines/magazines/websites?

pete hamill was a friend of mine, actual he came to work at the hospital stores dept i worked in at the time, he was a younger guy and got into the music i used to play on cassettes at work... got him into going to shaka dances etc at the time... but he also liked hip hop, and eventually dancehall... he was into giles peterson and all that scene too, and for a long time after... i very occasionally bump into him... he studied law and had some job in that, like kind of solicitor type work, more amongst deprived inner city community (im not good at keeping that type of info in my head, but it was something along those lines)....he kept a love for the music, but dont think he continued with any writing apart from what he did for the bsl `zine.
