Nice new release from Tuff Scout :

The riddim is definitely a vintage production (late 70s/early 80s ?) & sounds a bit familiar...anyone manage to recognise it ?

OK seems it sounds old for a reason as it's a 1979 production from this album & not a new voicing as the rest of the Tuff Scout releases :

Not all Tuff Scout releases has been new voicings. Hopeton Lindo - Territory and a few others have all been straight forward reissues (with the addition of dubs).

No ... I think those are the three. All King Culture related are on vintage rhythms but some are new voicings.

This one is wicked 2 and it doesn't sounds like a new vocing to me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Prpkxeqkt7I But the youtube user seewhyaudio, (the one who does some work for Tuff Scout - he design the label artwork and does uploading to Youtube for the label) says something different:

"You're right in saying they re-use some older rhythms (so what's new!) but the vocal sessions are all new and the dub mixes etc are all fresh. Guaranteed. Peace, See Why"

i think at the moment seewhyaudio wrote that, he wasnt aware of future releases like hopeton lindo - territory

as kalcidis mentioned, it sounds like a reissue to me aswel
the original 7" press came also with a dub

At the moment seewhyaudio wrote that the track called "Live It Up" by Moses (the same track I linked to in my previous post in this thread ) was already released on vinyl and uploaded on youtube. U'll find the comment quoted by me here - still exactly the same link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Prpkxeqkt7I

And it wasn't Kalcidis - it was me who mentioned the Moses' tune 8)

The Moses tune sounds like a new voicing over a newly build riddim sampling Dandy Lion "Vives". Pretty sure it's not a vintage production or voicing.
