Distributors

Postby kalcidis » Sun Jun 02, 2013 12:48 pm

I'm trying to help Lambert Douglas get in contact with some distributors for his new album. But I have a hard time thinking of any others than EBreggae (US), Dub Store (JAP) and Dub Vendor (UK). What other distributors are there that are active today? Do VP Records do distribution?

MulatuAstatke: Perhaps not. I always thought they did. Thanks.

Mulatu: Ah. Sorry, mate. Interesting to hear what you're going to release if you don't mind clueing us in. Also get Jah Wise to paint the lion of judah on your CB 200 if you're going to do it proper old school. 8)

j j: He still has the masters and is definitely interested but somebody would have to step in. I would have tried to pursue it if I didn't have other projects that needed my focus right now. It is a brilliant set. So if anyone is interested send me a PM and I'll connect you.

Hi J,

Looks like VP distribute other labels too:
http://www.vpreggae.com/aboutus.asp

A few in Britain:
http://www.srd.co.uk/
http://www.properdistribution.com
http://www.kudosdistribution.co.uk/
Possibly Steve Mosco/ Jah Warrior/ ReggaeMusicStore does distribution too? Who do Pressure Sounds use now?

Maybe Mélodie Distribution in France and ... http://www.rushhour.nl/

Might be worth asking Matt (Bedward) for advice too as he runs his own reissue label now. His blog:

I don't know anything about distribution or know if this is a valid link, but I thought I would share this. In my last shipment of records, the stars repress 45's I received came in a printed sleeve that says GB Distribution. Contact info is gbdistribution@hotmail.co.uk and www.gaffablue.com. The website doesn't work, so I don't know how recent or valid this info is.
