Someone put a link up last week, could not find this page again so thanks for sharing.

Perhaps though should be in the 'how to make vintage tunes' thread ?

Tracks like 'Ghetto Roots' are pretty nice sounding with the twiddling of controls added.
For some youtube tracks i usually only listen for a few seconds, for this one i listened much longer.

Good music inna revive style.
In this age it's getting harder to tell what is old & what is new :)

It sounds amazing!

I have asked this person how makes it... Waiting for a answer...
IMO this sound can´t be done with Reason... Idon´t know if he/she uses samples o multi-tracks from songs...

Any sound can be put into any sequencer be it reason,fl,pro, cue, logic, the list goes on & on, these are tools that can help !

Just to add folks, if you like the modern vintage stuff, check out guys like YABASS, he has been making some great tracks for many years, minimal dub with tasteful selections, i have enjoyed listening to his sounds for a long time :)

I understand what you say... I don´t use Reason, but i think that it wasn´t possible to add audio on it, only was possible to create inside the software... Thats the reason I said that ...

I have listened the most part of his videos, and they are really nice!

Yeah i know what your saying,
not a Reason user either, don't know much about that software, read somewhere can't use 3rd party vst's , surely can import samples ? I'm sure the added library is more than enough though.

What i was trying to say is that good music can be made in any host application.
I remember people used to say " can't make good reggae with so & so software", then boom, someone proves that theory wrong, you need this & that, blah blah blah, when in reality you don't need much stuff at all.
Someone using everything in the box can make incredible music.

Software is the tool,
The beat maker is only limited by their imagination,
There is no such thing as ....Can't Be Done :)

You are right, the tools are only tools...
Mainly if we talk about jamaican music, the perfect example that equipment is only a anecdote on front of a real talent and a good vibes!

I´m going to try to invite this person to come here to this forum, to share with us his way of create music...

Do you really think that jamaican producers & musicians didnt have great equipments? I always saw pretty good desks, best guitar & bass amps, best instruments...

What impressed me was the raw talent, the timing and composition and the build up and breakdown, thats intelligence, skill and feeling, nothing to do with equipment. like the way when you hear Tubby mix he intuitively knows when to punch back in like he has the whole song broken up into tiny segments in his head and can then just pull them out of space at will. Whatever equipment this guy uses i think the results will be good. Gwaan star!
