I remember buying gideon jah rubbaal's "love rasta" on 7" many yrs ago and wasn't that impressed - since then I've picked up a few really nice items by him including one the other day - a 12" from 1977 - "share the wealth" bw "rich man" on his own label - those were the days militant horns, sufferers lyrics, and righteous rhythms....

Arrived from Dub Vendor yesterday, massive tune. Mine has a small edge warp which makes the start of the B side jump :(

Also got the new AMP 7", loving that too.

Tonto Irie - Loving Stylee (Wheely Wheely Connection 12") -- Had never heard this one before but it was a pleasant surprise. Over the cuss cuss rhythm.
Horace Andy - Girl of My Dream (Live & Love 12") -- Same rhythm as Delroy Wilson's »Don't Put The Blame On Me«. Nice enough digital Jammy.
Cornell Campbell - Boxing (Joe Gibbs 12") -- Yeah ... stone cold classic.
Twinkle Brothers - Dub Massacre pt. 2 (Twinkle Music LP) -- Original press which isn't remixed as the reissues. Some of the Twinkle's heaviest rhythms.
John Holt Goes Disco (Trojan LP) -- As in discomix. Haven't had time to listen to this one yet but from what I've understood it's the same as his The John Holt Showcase on Thunderbolt.
Horace Andy & Massive Dread - Food Is the Staff of Life (Stars 12") -- Tappa Zukie produced late 70's roots with the always enjoyable Massive Dread (RIP) following up on the deejay version. Dub on the flip.

chantells -- rosemarie/back in these arms (revolutionary sounds 12")
paragons -- my best girl/the same song (high note 12")
r. zee jackson -- seat up (beezee sounds LP)

Some very nice ones there with Chantells being by favourite (an absolute stunner). Never heard the Jimmy Riley though. Looks interesting.

That Jimmy Riley is a great tune off one of his LP's (which i can't think of at present) i got it on 12" very cheap last year.

I just picked up an OP Tony Tuff meets Errol Scorcher LP for US$15 from EB's :)

Thanks jj - that's been on my list ever since I asked for Tony Tuff recommendations on this board, some great songs, 'tuff' riddims and I've always liked Errol Scorcher. Just ordered a copy - don't really have the cash right now but it's a must have!!

I imagine that one is on many peoples "find" lists today, wonder how much longer it will be in stock!

I'm guessing they found old stock of 50-100 copies like with the Tafari 7" and Beverley Williams 7" some years back. Will probably sell it fairly quick. Stores buying them for $20 and then selling them for $50. :) Too bad I can't afford an order at the moment. But then again ... it only means I still have the joy of the hunt.

Wish I could find some old stock like that...! Except in my area it would likely all be Jimmy Cliff, Third World, and 87 copies of Peter Tosh - Don't Look Back

Edit: Tony Tuff/Errol Scorcher LP already on Ernie's best selling LP's after one day...
