It seems that the series has been cancelled, at least I just saw this on Amazon:
The 2012 "Bass Culture" reggae series, released on the Nascente label to co-incide with 50 years of Jamaican independence, promised to be an excellent product. Unfortunately, however, the series appears to have been cancelled.
I've contacted the Demon Music Group & they confirm that the series will no longer be released due to issues with licensing the content.
The series encompassed four double CDs:
Volume 1 - Bass Culture: This Town Is Too Hot (Ska & Rocksteady)
Volume 2 - Bass Culture: Boss Sounds (Early Reggae 1968-1972)
Volume 3 - Bass Culture: When Reggae Was King (Roots, Rockers, DJs & Dub 1970-1980)
Volume 4 - Bass Culture: Mash You Down (The Birth of Dancehall 1978-1985)
Unfortunately I never got around to picking them up either...
