and Joe Morgan "Basement Session"
It's easier for a camel, to go through a needle's eye, than for a version to die, believe me !

Kudos for continuing Basic Channel's mission to bring the great works of Bullwackie to a wider audience. His studio has a unique sound. Yes, it may often sound similar to Black Ark at first but when you listen more closely, you soon realise it has a certain edge of it's own. As a musician, I would love to know which keyboards they were using (those wicked organs in particular) although I suspect the special sound was mostly created in the mix rather than coming from certain equipment.

Haven't seen that Wackies documentary for many years but the Milton Henry tune at the start is absolutley great, and I believe never released? Seem to remember that there was another excelllent unreleased? Milton Henry tune later in the film. Would be great to see these make it to vinyl. Any chance this will happen RB? Is, by the way, Midnight Riders "Over the bridge" still in line for release? Thanks to the DKR crew for another set of excellent tunes!....and yes, hope to find Robert Minott Don't touch my style in one of the next rounds :)

Have been looking for that Wayne Jarett for ages - this is one essential reissue!
I'd tap my heat if I'd wear one

Love the Jah I Maz, classic mystical wackies vibes. Keep up the good work.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that Junior Peterkin will be in a future batch (assuming that's a wackies connection...)
