Big respect for 2012 RV, I especially loved Linval Thompson's Give Me Back, having id'd it with the help of Steve Jah Warrior on BAF about a year ago I'd been hunting since then. I'd sourced an original the week yours came out, thanks for saving me loads of cash in order to get this crucial tune.

@Baba Jonah: 2012 was a great year if it is about reissues, either on my label but as well on other labels like DKR, OnlyRoots, PS and a few others too. On my side, i've released 12 12inches and one Lp which is far beyond what i have done the previous years. i released for the first time music produced today, with Roberto Sanchez. Selling is another job, and in this time, when you only sell your records, that's not easiest part but thanks to everybody who support Iroko Records!!!

Tribal Inna Di Yard reissue? Wow that would be a sight to behold....

Love Iroko releases! Always top sounds. I'm curious where the name Iroko comes from? Does it mean something?

cheers

Iroko is an african tree, the wood can be used for kette drums or other musical instruments like guitar...This is majestic tree!

A next Andy has the same question: why no Negro 12" at Ernie B's? It seems like that one has not gotten distributed.

Would love to catch a copy of it for sure.

Hi Andy
It is not at ernie, nor other shops as i decided to sell that one only from my website.
If you want to buy a copy, here it is http://www.iroko-records.com/shop/
Thanks for your support!

Bummer on that one Herve.

Love to support you guys and at the end of the day that turns $12 into $25 for one 12". That postage business is a killer.

Curious why you chose to make only this release exclusive to your site?

I think that it should cost you less than $25 ordering it on my website (if you are based in US). 18 euros, maybe around $23.
I understand your point, and of course if i was a buyer, i may prefer to buy it at my local shop but i think you can do an effort this time. It is the first time i do that after more than 20 records released on my label.
At the end , the price you will pay is not really more than the price that you could have paid (without shipping) for two 7 inches. Lot of 7 inches sell for nearly $10.
Maybe you can order more than one record to reduce shipping cost, maybe wait till the next releases....
Thanks
Herve

Whenever you want Zioni, check the back catalog too, many really nice records!

Some of you asked me if Humble I was the DJ who lives in Bordeaux! I can now say yes as i talk to him over the phone today.

This tune was his first tune he ever recorded!
