There are two releases of this tune. I have a different one titled Babylon You Must Go Down, also on TR Groovemaster.

I was sure I'd heard a different cut, maybe on a Pressure Sounds LP? Anyway the Youtube videos of Babylon Must Fall sound the same as mine.

There is another cut called 'babylon a fight down youthman' (or babylon a fight down youth (on the cover i think) credited to Errol Mais on Lovelinch 12" sounds the same apart from the drums.. great dub too...

Nice one JJ - looking through the list you got going so far is a good reminder of how many great Tony Robinson productions are out there...

So here's one that is [probably] more comical than crucial....although there are a few interesting cuts to it.

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics but it gives you the idea.

Brent Dowe's using a digi reworking of Marley's 'Duppy Conqueror' as the riddim for 'OJ Deh Pon Di Street' is the funniest cut. How can it not be with lines like "through the power of Johnny Cochran, they have to turn him loose"

And then there's the Dowe and Pancho combo 'Your Love is Hot But Your Sex is Not' Well, the only thing I can say about this one, at least didn't have anything to do with Nicole Simpson or Marcia Clark or Kato Kaelin ...

Courtney Melody's 'Mama Don't Worry' is probably the LP's least cheerful song but it's also one of the better 1995 recorded tracks on the album. 'Dream Team (Jungle) has nothing to do with the OJ thing but is really a trippy, extra fast jungle beat that uses snipets from a couple songs [Armageddon Time based with Uroy and Big Youth voices cutting in and out??] It's a track I didn't think I'd like but it goes over good if you like a little mix up mix up now and then... LP rounds out with the two well known 70s URoy tunes, even though it implies that the last one is a 'jungle' remix.





Not sure where I heard this, or if it's even true, or why it even matters but I thought I remember hearing something about TR living in Texas at some point ???

what address do you see on the lower right section of the back of the record sleeve?

I dont recall he was living in Texas. I met him in 1998 or 99 in Florida to discuss licensing parts of his catalog to put together a badass TR compilation for TABOU1 and we even met at his lawyer, one of the most unsufferable individuals I met in my TABOU1 days. The situation was so fcking weird (no need to go into details) that I passed on signing a deal.

I cant find the contact info I had for him at the time.

Why is Fatman Tribulation Dub on as a Tony Robinson production? His name isn't mentioned anywhere on the sleeve. I know Roots-Archives has it down as released on TR International but to be honest I've never seen it on that label and I think it's a mix-up from Top Ranking Intl. just being written as TR Intl. somewhere. At least the original songs I've seen have all been Fatman Riddim Section productions.

Great work otherwise.

ps. Yes Kal, Roots Archives is where that info came from. As i don't have that LP i couldn't check it,but will remove it now i know .Same goes for Owen Gray's Turning Point LP on Venture, so if anybody has it please let me know the production details.
