I've been collecting dub lp's for 20 years and have NEVER seen a copy of this lp for sale anywhere. I've never even heard of anybody that has it in their own collection even the heavyweight Japanese guys. I heard Steve barrow has a damaged copy (that's why some of the tracks were maybe missing from the reissue). As far as I know there were only a handful pressed when it came out. I think this could be the rarest dub lp. And one of the most significant (vol 2 of the legendary java dub lp) and I am guessing a mint copy would fetch $5000 bucks on eBay.
If it came up it would rather likely pull more money than I make after a months hard work or something. Some other dub albums that seem to be incredibly rare are: Richie Mac - Jah Is Light Dub (Music-ism LP) Edi Fitzroy Meets Roots Radics at Channel One (Musical Ambassor LP) Now Generation in Dub (Blank LP) Rico Rodriguez & Joe Mansano - Bullet Dub (Blank LP)
Haha ya thats my website and that copy is mine and it's mint that's why I was wondering if anyone ha ever seen it for sale. I never have.
Ya I know of the bullet dub lp. Never seen it but I knew of one person that had it and he sent me a cdr of it. Never came up for sale.
The edi fitzroy dub lp I seen a couple times on eBay over the years. Bought mine on eBay for around 40 bucks I think. Total killer if you like roofs radios style.
Never heard of this "now generation" blank dub lp
And just fr your info the richie Mac fun lp was released as a music-ism Aquarius volume I forget which one. There is about 4 or 5 different music-ism label and blank label music-isms I only have 3 of them.
Other ones I have never seen fr sale are A.B.C. Dub (this is the same lp as EE Saw dub but release with a cover on Jamaican press) Dub in Blood Zion hill dub has only sold a couple times I know there's more like up setter rhythm shower and heaps of white label stuff I just found a completely unknown white label roots radical dub lp on the "black music" label one of my favorites
Randy's dub is "ultra good". Take a listen. I was stupid enough to record a cdr of it for someone a few years ago and it has appeared on free Dow load all over the net ever since. I was I guess however smart enough to send him only a 128 mp3 instead of wave though
Oh. It was your page! It's a great one that I check often.
What about the Boris Gardner dub album called »Ultra Super Dub Vol. 2«? Makes one think there's an even scarcer Vol. 1. Also interesting to hear would be Dirty Harry (Freelimo LP) or Super Boom Super Charge (Well Charge LP). The latter is from what I've understood the same as one of the other Well Charge dub LP's but just a different sleeve.
I've got the original in mint condition, bought it at Black Wax in Birmingham back in the day, didn't have Randys Dub on the the label, just a blank impact label, also no cover, came in a This is Augustus Pablo sleeve with Randys Dub written across it in ballpen, think I paid £8 for it. I've also got Dub I, same price, same shop, damn shame when it closed. I'm thinking about selling them.
A couple of years ago Clive pressed up a series of CDRs called 7" Collector's Series Volumes 1 to 10, they were: Rhythm & Blues Ska Vocals Ska Instrumentals Rocksteady to Reggae Reggae Instrumentals Superstar Singers Cover Versions Deejays Roots Dub Vault
