Voted in favor to bring back sales section.

Do the right thing...this forum is for the promotion and spreading of roots reggae music, let's do that in an adult manner and ban anyone indefinitely for breaking the code of conduct of the sales/trade section.

Agreed, though if zero tollerence for bad behaviour is to work there should be a few rules to follow. Not advocating anything too Draconian, just a guideline of expected behaviour.

Not sure how to vote??!!!!
I would vote yes.
As said before appropriate rules should be set and enforced.

How many horror stories are there compared to success stories?? My guess... far less???

Traders, buyers, sellers could leave a comment / vouch for others... Many of us have been here years, have already dealt with eachother in the past.. unfortunately I guess there will always be the odd person (maybe the same ones) who would try to take advantage of others...we could decide who to deal with ourselves..

While the main issue is surely people getting burned by the honor system, does anyone remember the ridiculous "wants list" spamming??? And just how annoying it was? "I'm gonna just cut and paste YOUR wants list and see what happens" type of thing. There was like three different identical ones that were being re-posted daily.

Looks like we have a majority here.
Will look into it but have to set some rules first. Any suggestions welcome.

I think that many of us know each other or dealt with each other a few times...

Raccomandations may be a good point of beginning.

Number of posts (not really necessary)

1 page for every seller to update and not 1000 posts...1 page with lists and feedbacks and easy ban from the sales selection so that a seller will think twice to rob someone.

i think this might be enaught

easier said than done

as a spectator it is not easy to see who is the honest person.
i was one of the victims of a rip off when the tradesection was still on and i remember not many were convinced of my honesty

so unfortunatly it attracts thieves thats why i have voted 'no'

but if it does get installed again i will join but i will be very carefull

Personally I don't like that it would have to be with set prices. Because I personally prefer trading instead of selling. I think it's nicer to trade a good record for a good record instead of thinking of money exchange. I've bought doubles so I can trade and not just to sell them.

The poll was for a sales/trade section and not just the former of the two.

the idea of public prices is just silly iv made friends thru dealing with records and will continue to do so and this would take away from that, and theres lot of knowledgable people on this board who share the same passion for roots music..... please jus bring it back an everyone be more careful who u deal with.

the kalcidis point that this would affect trading experience has sense
then if for silly is meant naive i can agree also to messenger, maybe my request "reveals" that i've not made good bargains that way

to be more careful is the final word
