DANCEHALL SCIENCE SILKSCREEN PRINTS

Postby tape-echo » Sun Feb 19, 2012 11:25 am

Fresh off the press this evening........ Following on from the post a few days ago

Hand produced "DANCEHALL SCIENCE" Silkscreen prints.

These are going to be available from Tribe records in Leeds UK - by the weekend - or via the main Glass Siren Studio site over the next couple of days

http://www.glasssiren.co.uk

If you are familiar with the artwork from Subdub And Exodus DMZ events - much of the imagery from the flyers are currently being versioned at the moment
into new forms and will be emerging as new t-shirt releases and silkscreen prints. The artwork above is the first in what will be a continuing series
of these releases.

Ill post details up tomorrow at some point for a chance to win one of these prints.

not far off with this one now - been working on this latest piece for last couple of weeks gradually building up the layers.

acrylics + binders + freehand silkscreen techniques + de-generation processes on canvas 30 x 30 inch

ill be updating the site shortly with full info over the next couple of days with all the detailed photographs
as its quite difficult to see on this shot all the finer elements.

Agree with tradesman, that looks awesome! Will this be available at Tribe, and once again what is the damage?

bless you. many thanks.

i think this one has already been acquired by the looks of things. its not quite finished yet - i've got a few more bits of detail to be added this week and some balancing of the colours using translucent pigments but it gives a good representation of where its heading.

i'm planning on starting a series of works along these lines, i've got huge archive of imagery that i've produced over the last twenty years which i'm gradually starting working up using various experimental imaging techniques which i've been testing out.

i may well put one of the new ones i'm working in tribe records once i'm a bit further down the line in terms of production.

as far as pricing is concerned on any of these pieces - you can always discuss this with me via email. the address is on the main glass siren website.

on top of this ill still be producing some of the smaller ltd silkscreen prints which are featured above from time to time as i've just invested in a few new silkscreens so work flow will be a little easier now.

this is all very much a work in progress - as per usual with many of my projects which i undertake. hopefully these techniques i've been experimenting with will produce some interesting results. i'l post up again when i've made some more progress on the next couple of canvases.

cheers
