Saw those CDs are available again on Ernie (Jamaican Gold label) - how are they like & what do you think is the best volume of the 3 ?

Thanks !

Simply awesome troika from Jamaican Gold! Some of the best compilations ever made (at least in my book).

yes yes, buy all three without hesitation! the first two are essential if you like that rocksteady and that skinhead/early reggae sound. only one or two misses on each disc, in my estimation. the third volume is a bit less focused cuz it's over a longer period of time, but features some big tunes from some big players. you'll want all three.

i wonder who's pressing these though? i thought they were all run through?

Hard to pick one... I'd get all three of them.
If you really want to own a large part of the known Matador output,
get the fourth disc (" It's Shuffle 'n' Ska Time with Lloyd "the Matador" Daley)
and the Matador compilation on Heartbeat" as well...

Damn ! I waited for these compilations to be available for a long time.
Unfortunatly I made my (large) order last week and for us european the shipping prices aren't that cheap anymore unless you buy enough to retabilize...
