Does anyone else have this tune? I can't believe no one else has mentioned it.

Sufferers Heights

Postby vasceri » Tue Feb 22, 2005 7:58 pm

<those sufferers heights 12" were fantastic but i think theyve been reissued one place or another before... >

Nope, never been reissued, I think Dave Hendley mentioned it when someone asked if he would ever repress these. I only need two more and I should have all of them.

<no cheesy sound effects and girls purring "ohhh i just LOVE that dread"...>

But that is what is unique about his stuff, the jingles and sound effects. I do hope he digs his heels into a reissue program, I think he would find that his productions would have a market.

i dont mean that the 12" were reissued verbatim, but i think most all of the mikey dread singles on the label are available elsewhere, probably not run together like on the singles, but spread across possibly multiple cd reissues, vocal here, dub version there, etc. not positive but pretty sure.

Well, what Mikey told me was that when he signed the contract, he crossed out the clause about "...and any other recording media in the future" meaning that now that CDs are around, he is free to re-release Dread At The Controls on CD. Of course, talk is just talk - so far - but I hope he succeeds. I love that album.

i'll of course post here if anything is imminent.

This was pressed as a Sufferers Heights 12" also, love the Butter 'Gainst Sun track

Great to see African Tribesman just has a repress, but without Butter Gainst Sun?? That hurts - thats my favourite cut from the original :(

... or is it on there and just not mentioned on the label?
