Eek-A-Mouse: Lyrics to 'Anarexol'.

Postby Anonymous » Sun Jul 15, 2007 6:26 pm

Hi,

does anyone know where I can get the lyrics to

'Anarexol' by Eek-a-Mouse?

I've spent half an hour on the web, but sadly no luck.

Thanks,

Well obviously we don't share the same sense of humour

Left me slim thing and me gone a foreign
i.e. I went on abroad for a vacation
When me come back say the girl big and fat yer
Me want to know if Anarexol or Joe Grine do dat?
Anarexol - a slimming pill to make you look 'anorexic' I suppose. And Joe Grine is the generic term for the bloke who 'takes care' of your girlfriend when you are out of sight. So my own take on this is, was his girlfriend actual on medication to make her slim in the first place, or has she been seent o by Joe Grine and is thus fat because she is pregnant?
All of a sudden her friends dem a chat
The other time me sight dem a watch
Me sight them at Reggae Sunsplash

Beng beng etc.
Friend and friend never let out dem secret
If there's a Joe Grine dem never reveal it

All of a sudden a pure pen pal
Anytime me open the letter box
(All of the letters for her and none ofr me)
All of a sudden the girl get fat
Me know Anarexol do dat
Remember de man dem always use boom(?)
And de 'oman Anarexal
What an excitement when dem two clash

That's most of it me thinks :!:

Oh - and now I'm on the case :) I think the lyrics would fit better if Anarexol made you fat rather than thin. But I'm sure I know of another DJ song from the era about it which went on about it as a something used for slimming (no doubt it did neither of the two anyway).

Interesting.
I'd always heard
If there's a Joe Grine dem never reveal it

as If there's a true crime them never reveal it.

Hi Ade,

That's more like it - thanks for taking the trouble to type up the lyrics, much appreciated.

... this is exactly why I was interested in the lyrics: So Eek goes away for a while, comes back to find 'im gal 'big and fat' - either cos she's been knocked up or due to 'anarexol' which, as you say, would work better if the pill made you fat rather than thin...

I've obviously got too much free time on my hands today!

Anyway, thanks again and sorry for the earlier catty remark.

anorexol is for anorexic people - not to make you anorexic!

Yer well - whatever. Anorexia nervosa is a serious condition and you can't treat it with a drug from over the counter.

ephteeay thanks, now it all makes sense (and reveals how funny this song is). I wonder if "slim thing" has anything to so with the (future?) phrase "sleng teng"...
bushgirl, while some people here make fun sometimes, no harm is ment. As for anorexia, if you are familiar with this kind of condition you know how serious it is. But I think this song treats it as a joke (either my girl was cured of her anorexia or she played around while I was away).

Anarexol, is of course for people who want to gain weight.

The normal use is for anorexic people and some women use it to have a bigger booty.

Edit: don't know if Anarexol still exist today. Women use nowadays fowl pills. Basicly pills given to chicken to make them bigger! This attitude is directly linked with the concept of bleaching.

I wonder, is the word 'magga' of a recent coinage?

Doesn't magga come from "meager"?
