Favourite B&F Dub release (part 1) ?

Unfortunately, this poll had to be divided in two as well.

"Termination Dub" for me with "Yabby U - King Tubby's Prophesy of Dub" being a close second.

I voted Pick A Dub. I hate (well, most of the time) his singing, but his productions and dubs are massive!

I voted for Hudson, because I love nearly all his productions.
But could also have voted for the Glen Brown, it's fantastic too.
I hated those decisions

Almost impossible to choose between these releases as every one is first rate but I finally went with Yabby You, because when I first heard it there was almost nothing available on CD from this artist and hearing it was quite a roots revelation...

Hey, what about King Tubby & Friends "Dub Like Dirt"? I'd vote for that one...

I remember....long time ago, when the Tppa Zukie in Dub came out. I played that cd 2 months STRAIGHT every day. Still, when I put it on these days it still sounds HOT! Slightly underappreciated though, I get the feeling. Anyway, when you are up against Keith Hudson, Glen Brown and/or King Tubby....pheww.... But still- I would advise all to go back to that TZ in dub and enjoy!

Man, my thoughts exactly...

I'd have to say that I rank them like this.

Glen Brown & King Tubby - Termination Dub
--- just so many strong tracks, King Tubby in top form with such crucial riddims supplied by Brown!

Yabby U - King Tubby's Prophesy of Dub
--- This one fought a hard battle for 1st, but Termination had more consistantly good tracks. I think this one has a few songs that are better than anything on Termination, but not all of them. Yabby U, what can I say about you?!

Keith Hudson - Pick A Dub
--- Not quite as spot on as the Tubby mixes above, but the Michael Talbot Affair would make this worth the price alone. Several other top dubs too.

Tappa Zukie - Tappa Zukie In Dub
--- I guess this would go fourth? Dub Gone Crazies might actually rank above it.

King Tubby and Friends - Dub Gone Crazy
King Tubby & Prince Jammy - Dub Gone 2 Crazy
--- I think I didn't rank these quite as high since they didn't come from a single producer, but both have some very very nice tracks.

King Tubby - Freedom Sounds In Dub
--- Very good, just not quite as good as the Bunny Lee produced tracks on the Crazies.

Scientist - Dub In The Roots Tradition
--- Solid, just not as exciting as the Tubby stuff. This is Roots Radics, right? I respect but don't appreciate them as much.

Very close call between Termination, Pick & Gone Crazy; but i had to go with Termination Dub.

I was living in Raratonga in the pacific islands, enduring ukeleles and top 40 pop, when I read an interview with Steve Barrow in which he picked Termination, Congos & I Roy as must have b&f sets. I promptly ordered Termination & I Roy, and life has never been the same since!!
