Here's a starter Mr Tho (with an accent I can't find on my keyboard!)-

Another Heartbeat album "Dennis Brown In Dub - Produced by Niney The Observer" contains 20 tracks, 19 of which are acknowledged to be the dubs of Dennis's vocals on the two albums you mention. And I've matched them with your lists just to make sure.

But for the remaining one, the liner notes say: "Dubbing with The Observer is [a version of Dennis's] 'Live After You' " But I'm not a DEB expert so I don't wouldn't know where the vocal counterpart might be found.

And the same CD contains another potential lead. There's a list of more Niney the Observer issues on Heartbeat that includes a Dennis Brown CD called 'Cosmic Force' (HBCD135) It might only have the same tracks as the others, but it's worth checking perhaps.

Thanks Dubac !

Indeed "Live after You" can be found in another Heartbeat comp': Rock On : greatest Hits from The Observer label (GREAT comp')
It is credited to DB & The Heptones.
Will check DB in Dub to be sure I don't miss anything else...

Xraymusic, "Have No Fear" (both 7" and 12" cuts) is definately on the Heartbeat sets. There is a cut (although labeled "Second Take") of "You And Your Smiling Face" aka "Only A Smile" on the sets, "You're No Good" is on them . . .

Surely one of the most greivous omissions is of the tune that starts "Love and hate, shall never be friends . . . " I've always just thought of it as "Love And Hate," as a later recut of it was named - is that the same tune as "Live After You?"
What about the half that's never been told?

Wow, looks like there's still more for me to discover , thanks guys

is that the same tune as "Live After You?"

No Fish, Live after you is a different song on a quicker riddim
The song you're reffering to is called also Here I Come, but is different from the one to be found in both sets...

Btw, what the other name for "Have No Fear" ?

Yeah, the Have No Fear / Here I Come thing is a bit confusing . . . in any case, based on the vocal snippets and rhythm under the I Roy cut on "Microphone Attack," the "Love And Hate" version of "Here I Come" is one monster tune. Anyone know whether it's available on some reissue CD somewhere? Unfortunately the "Love & Hate: Best of Dennis Brown" compilation has an inferior recut (or at least I seem to remember hearing sound samples revealing that, maybe I'm mixing it up with something else) . . .

I don't want to confuse things by going too far from the Niney connection in this post, but...

I'm sure Dennis Brown did a song called 'Here I Come' and another track called 'Here I Come Again', but they are completely different rhythms.

True?

OK, thanks for the tip, Xray. Aren't some of the tunes on the list actually DEB productions, though, rather than Niney ones? I don't own the Wolf & Leopards LP, but Ernie's has it credited as Niney, DEB, and Castro Brown productions. In particular, I know there are DEB-produced cuts of "Home Sweet Home," "Emmanuel," and "Lately Girl" (retitled Promised Land on the BAF DEB set). Unless the LP cuts are different from the ones on the BAF set (I of course don't know this for sure, but it seems unlikely given the DEB production credit on the LP), these are probably Dennis Brown rather than Niney productions.

Dubac, there are indeed two different tunes. "Here I Come (Again)" is also known as "Have No Fear."
