I like the way he sings to the melody of Drifter but on a different rhythm, tune.

for me these are some of the finest tunes we've unearthed to date. the unreleased King Kong from the same sessions as 'he was a friend' is a SCORCHER

Had the chance to buy walker john about 2 weeks ago..40 bucks. Found it overpriced. Anyway.. some samples seems to have a higher volume sound than others. Does that also apply to the actual records or'?
thank you putting this on here- best reggae track ever, apart from most bob marley tracks

yes, some clips play lower than others. i've figured out why, should be corrected in the future. for now just adjust the volume when listening to them!

all the records sound criss and are mastered at the appropriate volume, of course.

Certain people have expressed their displeasure with some of the huge reissues from DKR. But with all of the unreleased material you guys have brought us, I hope it will quiet even the most hardcore opposition. This batch has got to be the richest yet. This thing you're doing RB is getting even more serious and terrible each month. I am forever grateful. And I know I'm not alone.

So difficult to choose, but the King Kong-"Come Down" is probably my favorite of the bunch. Unreleased King Kong rule. More please.

And it's not the only Drifter business in this batch. Agony and Pain got the B-line.(albeit upside-down if you get me)

The King Kong-Agony and Pain riddim sounds to me like it was inspired by drifter at the very least.
