Quote from DubStore site:

Lastly, despite of Johnny Scar has always been regarded as a mystic roots singer, Bunny Wailer revealed that he was a younger brother of Dennis “Leppo” Lobban who shot and killed Peter Tosh. Allegedly, he died shortly after the “United Africa” was released. Bunny Wailer recalls this is a mighty, wise and appealing song.

Pretty sad that.

Just heard it. Is it me, or does this press sound a bit crap, the b-line in particular? The bassline is mildly reminiscent of cornflakes being munched. Maybe it's the lo-fi clip or my average headphones. It seems there is quite a bit of crackle going on (more audible on the dub).

I have it on 7" and it sounds cleaner.

Is the dub different from the 12''?

I never really thought this tune was as special as many seem to feel. Glad I sold off a copy when I did. Happy to see it repressed though.

Can't hear anything wrong with the sound clips on my speakers.

Nice to see Dub Store repressing some serious tune after the (imho) average Kiddus I 12" releases & the strange serie of Jammys specials (who'll want to play a special cut for Jammys sound ?)

I knew this one was getting repressed from dubstore ever since they repressed BUNNY WAILER - RISE AND SHINE.

Passed on it nuff times because of this as the price being offered was too much!!

Anyways good things come to those who wait and I can now pick this up for a decent price.

And the dubstore lot always take care when repressing tunes.

Heavy sound and pristine labels.

Nice tune, although as yd international pointed out, the bass guitar sounds distorted. This could be an artefact from noise reduction, but without hearing the original recording I can't tell.

Just heard the clip from dub vendor and it sounds fine, no distortion.
