Great news! I've been searching "Save The Children" for reasonable price for years and now I'm waiting for "Prophecy" :)

wow...the new dub to Dreadlocks I is incredibly good! i suppose it wasn't released elsewhere or i am wrong? a pitty ( A BIG PITTY) there's no vocal on that different cut
Also the released one...always been one of my favourite psychedelic dub :)

My copy of the 7'' arab plays with light hiss and also a couple of others i had heard have the same problem...so good to have it fresh! I suppose the 10'' plays good...and nice to have it on the different label :)

Also my copy of Save the children plays with some distortions on the high tones and mid bass. I heard from a friend that it's a common problems on the 1st press..is that right?

RB if you are in touch with Keathus I...give him my highest compliments as he did some of the best roots tunes ever!

lol let's hope to have a surprise like a different dub also on the Red Hot...that's one tune that all the time i played it , it changed the vibe in the place!

the 2nd dub to "dreadlocks i" was released on "black ark in dub" LP. after the original cut of "dreadlocks i" on Arab label wasn't commercially successful, Keithus went back to Black Ark to cut the tune again, but he never finished it and gave up on it for personal reasons. Keithus never retrieved the tape back from Perry, and this dub mix of the never-finished 2nd cut just appeared later on the "Black Ark in Dub" LP. presumably that tape is lost or was wiped over, as the vocal cut has never been released by the Perry family.

all Keithus I tunes were self-produced as you can see on the original credits. these releases are done in direct cooperation with Keithus, yes. about "dreadlocks i", at the time Tommy Cowan was acting like a manufacturer/distributor for smaller/self-producers so Keithus gave him "dreadlocks i" to release, hence it came on Tommy's ARAB label. but JAH DYNASTY is Keithus' own label, so naturally that will be used for reissue of all his productions.

not sure about any problems with the original copies of the tunes, my original copies of both tunes play clear to my ears.

Keithus I has a new tune out and more to come, i made another thread w/ a link to his new song on itunes. i will be sure to pass on all compliments to him personally. i agree that he is one of the finest artists of his era.

we have several unreleased songs cut at the same time as "prophecy" which are equally great, slated for release in 2012.

Red Hot

tings a go so red hot, red hot
tings a go so red hot
look how dem a run up (?) pon dem
stand up with your heart of hearts
cuz jah judgement is everywhere
revelation time done reveal
jah ah come to mash down oppression
to judge all of the wicked people

tings a go so red hot
tings a go so red hot
look how dem a run up (?) pon dem
dem never support di cause

tings a go so red hot
it is already hot
(???)
jah rastafari the ruler
jah rastafari has come to mash down downpressor
to judge all of the wicked people
tings a go so red hot
red hot in a africa
tings a go so red hot
red hot all over babylon

it a go so red hot
red hot, red hot, red hot
it a go so, so red hot
oh yeahhh, (???)
(???)
it a go so red hot
red hot, red hot, red hot

i'll find out today what the rest of the lyrics are.

RED HOT was recorded LIVE (riddim + voice same time) to two-track at Hope Road, Keithus I + The Wailers, when it was just Bob's house, before any studio or any of that...you can hear the vibes!
